26.664 — Bukovac Blitz 2026
The Bukovac Blitz 2026 chess tournament took place on Saturday, 27th June 2026 at 10:00, as part of the celebrations for the Day of the Bukovac Local Committee (MO Bukovac) in Zagreb. Organised by MO Bukovac in partnership with the Maksimirski gambit chess club, the event saw FIDE Master Bogdan Božinović—an icon of Zagreb and Croatian chess—claim first place.
For the tournament, we created a coordinated set of personalised wooden plaques: one each for first, second, and third place, along with a special plaque for the organiser featuring the logos of the City of Zagreb, MO Bukovac, and the Maksimirski gambit club. Each plaque is laser-engraved with a tree growing above a row of chess pieces—a motif that lends the entire set a calm, distinctive character.
